As the principal of St. Francis College of Nursing, it is imperative to shed light on the current scenario surrounding the nursing program in Madhya Pradesh. As you might be aware, the Honorable High Court of Madhya Pradesh had ordered a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the running of nursing colleges in the state. I am happy to inform that St. Francis College of Nursing, Indore was also inspected and declared suitable (W.P. Nos. 1080/2022, 5841/2022, 16851/2022, 20438/2021, 22164/2023, 27046/2022, 8737/2022, 3165/2022, 28337/2021, 28338/2021 & 14935/2022 Dated 22.2.2024 No. 135, 211) by the CBI. This, further places on record that our college, provides exceptional infrastructure, meeting all norms set forth for nursing colleges. Our campus boasts of state-of-the-art facilities, purposefully designed to facilitate comprehensive learning experiences for our nursing students, we ensure that every aspect of our infrastructure aligns seamlessly with the prescribed standards for nursing education. The college also has a qualified and experienced faculty team that brings a wealth of knowledge from diverse healthcare backgrounds, enriching our curriculum with real-world insights and best practices. Another important issue that is being dealt with, is examinations. All the Nursing colleges in MP are governed by the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU). As the matter was in court, the examinations were also delayed. After the court’s order, the examination time tables have been released and the examinations are scheduled to start 16 th May 2024 onwards. An online meeting in this regard was also conducted by the university and it was assured by the university that the pending examinations will be completed by December 2024.
