On the WORLD HEART DAY (September 29), the students of B.Sc. nursing 4^th year and 2^nd years organized a scenario-based training regarding ‘HANDS ONLY CPR’ at the OPD Department of St. Francis hospital and research Centre, Indore, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dorwin Das (Vice principal St Francis College of Nursing, Indore.) and Mr. Sonveer Sharma (Assistant Professor St Francis College of Nursing, Indore).

Theme of the day was “USE HEART, KNOW HEART ''. The program started at 11 am by a Scenario based skit performance by the B.Sc. Nursing 2^nd year students. The skit was focused on the risk factors, causes, signs and symptoms, management of heart diseases, etc.

Hands only CPR training was conducted for Lay people and bystanders with the help of CPR mannequin in the OPD Department of St. Francis hospital and research center, Indore by B.Sc. Nursing 4^th year students. There were around 30 participants who attended this training and they all actively participated in Hands only CPR training. Later the programme was followed by a Question and Answers session in which all the doubts and queries of the group were clarified. The programme concluded around 12 PM in the hospital with a message that "a healthy heart promotes healthy life”.

Apart from this College of Nursing also organize for “Hands only CPR” to newly joined housekeeping staff of St. Francis Hospital, a training programme was conducted for one hour in the Advanced Skill Lab of St Francis College of Nursing by the B.Sc. Nursing 4^th year students from 2PM to 3PM under the guidance of Mr. Sonveer Sharma (Assistant Professor St Francis College of Nursing, Indore). All the participants actively attended the session and gained the knowledge and skills regarding “Hands Only CPR”.
