MENTAL HEALTH WEEK REPORT
THEME: "Mental Health in an Unequal World."
World Mental Health Day 2021: It is observed on October 10 annually to spread awareness regarding mental health issues globally and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
The objective behind celebrating the day is to spread awareness and education about mental health issues across the world. The COVID-19 pandemic poses a major impact on the mental health of people. Several groups like health and other frontline workers, students, people living alone, and those with pre-existing mental health conditions, have been mainly affected.
This year St Francis College of Nursing celebrated mental health week from 4th October 2021 to 10th October 2021. Our students participated in various events like poster-making competition skit presentation in Banganga Mental Hospital Indore, Ms. Saloni Daske bagged 1st position in the poster-making competition. Various other events were also organized by our college to create awareness about the mental health issues persisting in the world where our students presented mime and chart presentation in St Francis Hospital and Research Centre. Students also took part in the rally on Sunday 10th of October 2021 conducted by the M.G.M Medical College where all the doctors, nurse paramedical staff, and student nurses were involved. The rally started from M.G.M Medical College to Government College Of Nursing and then finally to M.Y. Super Specialty Hospital.
